The Country Porch

                         HAND AND HAND

Forward we go hand and hand

Spreading the Gospel throughout the land

United we are in one accord

Giving our all to Jesus our Lord.

Thick or thin - it doesn't matter

Step by step, we walk together

Blessings raining from above

Arm in arm, in Christian love.

We are come together

To give You glory and honor

This special group of friends

To carry out God's purpose and plan.

Let His Spirit move within

Reaching out to all men

Peace and love in harmony

Touching hearts in unity.

And through given grace

We meet together in this place

We being many members, become as one

All in agreement in God's Only Son.

Guiding those that can not see

To the hope of Calvary

Hand in hand we'll lead the way

In His strength we'll work and pray.

One hand spilling Mercy

The other spilling Grace

Reaching to the darkness

Shining Love's Own Face.

Always sharing Jesus

Reach out and touch our hand

When darkness has no light

Let him carry you through the sand

So take our hand for Jesus sake

His love will be in each hand we take.

Why God made friends for us, it's hard to say

I'm sure we'll know the answer someday

Keep the love true and from within

Because, after all, they are a part of Him.

Let us follow His command

To love one another

Then He'll lead us by the hand

For we are family to each other

Brother and sister united in love

Serving the Master, the Lord up above.

A common strand given to guide sinners home

Is the words we write in the lines of a poem

Poets we are and we tell in rhyme

The message of the Gospel, time after time

Our voices are different but yet just the same

We are united together in Jesus name.

  Prince Of Peace

Sunflowers turn their yellow gold
Even the lilly's
Know the way I'm told
Set mine eyes toward the east
For the coming of the Lord
The Prince of Peace
As the lightning cometh out of that way
So shall He come that day
With clouds and trumpets
Every eye shall see
The Son of God
Who came for you and me
The joy we see on this day
Will be the best of all
So let us praise our Saviour
Till the day He comes to call
Hold to your faith, do not let go
Pray through trials and we will grow
In our purpose we do become
The shining portrait of loves grand sum
For love's grand sum is all in Him
Added, multiplied, boundless love
Who comes now in all majesty
To gather His bride to Himself above
So come one come all
Soon the final trumpet calls
The Bridegroom is coming
Our Saviour, Gods own dear Son !

   A Stone's Throw Away

He went but a stone's throw away
Knowing what He must do
Kneeling down to pray
Asking for the cup to be removed
But there was no other way
Great drops of sweat came from the brow
With the knowledge, of what's facing Him now
And the agony, He must have felt
When on the ground, He knelt
When He returned to those on watch
He found them asleep
He knew the spirit was willing
But the flesh is weak
Are you sleeping , He asked
And taking your rest
Watch and pray that you may not
Undergo the test
By a angel, He was given strength
For the coming days
By Judas, one of His own
He was betrayed
With a traitor's heart, Judas kissed His cheek
And thought of it no shame
For pointing out the Lamb standing meek
Thirty pieces of silver he would claim
Yet later it came to dawn
On him of what he'd done
Then hanged himself this devil's spawn
For betraying God's only Son
Who stood now accused of doing wrong
Yet innocent of it all was He
While Pilate tried to placate the baying throng
They wanted Him crucified on a tree
Pilate gave the crowd a choice, Barrabas or Jesus
Which one to set free
The crowd cried, give us Barrabas
Pilate then asked, what of Jesus
They cried all the louder, Him crucify
And let His blood be on our head
So He was led away to die
He was led up the hill in a blood stained robe
Straight to His death, on the cross
An innocent Man, it was part of God's plan
To save us sinners
From a far greater loss!
