My poetry is written from the heart and life's experiences. I dedicate these poems to all those who have lost loved ones and also to all Christians everywhere who have a great love and faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ! I enjoyed writing them and I hope ya'll enjoy reading them!

Keep your eyes on Jesus
Stay focused in His Word.
He’ll speak to you of wonders past
Such things you’ve never heard.
He’ll fill your Spirit from within,
With truth, joy, peace and love.
And rain His many blessings down,
From His heavenly home above.
Don’t let the trials in this life now,
Distract you from your goal.
Of resting your eyes upon the Lord,
Feeling his love deep in your Soul.
To stand in the Presence of the Lord,
No description could suffice.
Even unbelievers hearts should melt,
For them too, He paid the price.
So keep your eyes on Jesus,
Let Him guide you in all you do.
Yes, keep your eyes on Jesus
Cause Jesus has His eyes on you.
THE LOVE OF JESUS
I may not have everything
That money can buy
Like mansions and yaughts
And Lamborghinis that fly.
But I have had real love
And I know this is true.
The One Who still loves me?
Yes Jesus … it’s You.
You never let me forget
What’s important to me.
It’s not kept in a bank
Or floating on the high sea.
It’s nothing material
You can touch, see or smell.
It’s the Love of my Saviour
I now know so well.
You’ll never leave or forsake me
You promised You’d stay.
I know You live here inside me
I feel Your Presence each day.
Lord, please make me worthy
Of love You freely give.
A love like no other
My God, You died .. so I’d live.
Now You’re the One that I count on
To always be there.
Through the good times and bad times
You make me aware,
That no matter how much
Or how little I own.
My true treasure lies
At the foot of Your Throne.

THERE IS BEAUTY IN HIS WORD
The beauty in a sunrise
and a sunset can't compare,
To the beauty of His written Word,
when we bow our heads in prayer.
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Once these words are etched
forever on our hearts,
we can never be the same.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
Here on earth as it is in Heaven.
This is what we all are waiting for...
It has already been proven.
Give us this day, our daily bread...
He sustains us every day.
And helps us forgive those
who hurt us most,
forgiving us along the way.
Lead us not into temptation,
Deliver us from the Evil one.
We will never have to fight alone,
Our Victory has already been won!
Amen?
REFLECTION OF GOD
No one should ever have to question
if you are a Christian.
It should be His Light they see
surrounding you.
When we open our mouths to speak,
It should be His Word that is heard.
Our actions should reflect
The reason He came to earth as a man.
To live life as He did.
Caring, Compassionate,
Giving, and Forgiving.
Doing unto others
As we would have others do unto us.
God gave each of us a heart
Big enough to take on the world.
Love is the main ingredient
Love is the key
That will open all doors in the universe
And set us free!

NEVERENDING GRIEF
For me, this grief will never end.
It goes on and on and on.
I’ve taken one step forward,
and two steps back.
Since my one true love’s been gone.
“How can I get past this?” I ask myself.
As I pace back and forth in my room.
I still can’t believe that he’s not coming back.
He was taken from us way too soon.
I’ve questioned You, Lord
As to the reason why,
You take those who are needed on earth.
The only answer that You have supplied,
Is that our hairs are numbered at birth.
Like Jesus .. D. came with a purpose and plan,
It was written a long time ago.
If everyone knew when that day would arrive,
We’d wrap our lives neatly – tied up with a bow.
Please forgive me, Lord,
When doubts start creeping in.
I know Satan loves to see me cry.
Thank You, too, for the gift that You gave to me.
One I’ll love and miss till the day that I die.

SEASONS
Whenever I see the sun’s rays
Peeking through the clouds,
It fills my heart with gladness
And makes me want to laugh out loud.
In the heat of the Summer,
When nothing’s stirring in the air.
Lying in the shade of an old Oak tree,
I enjoy the stillness there.
Taking a walk through the quiet woods,
On a crisp, clear Autumn day.
Feeling the leaves crunch beneath my feet
Makes me want to kneel and pray.
Then Winter rears it’s ugly head
And all the trees are bare.
Looking out the window at the sky,
Makes my mind wander up there.
When the buds of Spring start blooming
All things turning new again.
We need to stop and smell the roses.
And embrace the peace
That only comes from Him.

GRANNY’S ANGEL GIRL
God gave her beautiful big blue eyes
With freckles on her nose.
Her energy is boundless
Cause she runs everywhere she goes.
Her laughter is contagious,
Her sense of humor no surprise.
Her Daddy is a cut-up,
An unknown comic in disguise.
She’s very compassionate,
And wise beyond her years.
Whenever she sees me sad,
She wipes away my tears.
She takes my hand when we walk alone,
Then smiling shyly up at me,
She whispers oh so softly,
“I love you, Granny G.”
She’s a very special gift from God
A one of a kind, sweet little doll.
That's why He sent her down from heaven,
As a Blessing to us all.
I knew right when I saw her,
She would give my heart a whirl.
She is, and always will be
Her Granny’s Angel Girl.

Dedicated to a very special “granddaughter” who has always shown me her love,
and helped me get through some very sad days, just by her presence in my life.
I love you with all of my heart, Miss Caitlyn. You truly are “Granny’s Angel Girl”.
(And a special thank you to her Nana – for sharing.)
